These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Realmatch.Social (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including our website, HUD/MOAP tools, avatar-linked in-world devices, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Realmatch.Social is an independent virtual-world dating and connection platform owned and operated by Virtual World Search Inc.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Realmatch.Social.
1. Who we are and where we operate
Realmatch.Social is a dating and social discovery service built for virtual worlds, including Second Life and OpenSim-based virtual world platforms. We operate a dedicated region in Second Life called Real Match, and we plan to support multiple OpenSim grids, including but not limited to Alternate Metaverse, beginning in 2026.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially recognized by Second Life, Linden Lab, or any OpenSim grid operators. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your region) to use the Service.
- By using Realmatch.Social, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you are legally permitted to use the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
3. Accounts and registration
Some features of Realmatch.Social require creating an account or providing contact details (for example, email address and avatar name or unique avatar identifier).
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activity under your account, including activity performed through your linked avatar or HUD.
- You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or credentials.
- We may link your account to one or more avatar identifiers (such as a Second Life or OpenSim UUID) to operate HUD features, rewards, and profile tools.
4. Virtual-world nature of the service
Realmatch.Social focuses on virtual-world dating and social discovery. We may link your account or profile to virtual-world identifiers such as a Second Life avatar name, OpenSim avatar name, or other platform IDs or UUIDs.
- Your use of Second Life, OpenSim grids (including Alternate Metaverse), or other platforms remains governed by their own terms and policies.
- We do not control these third-party platforms and are not responsible for their actions, outages, or policies.
- Any in-world interactions, events, or relationships you choose to participate in are your own responsibility.
5. Acceptable use and community expectations
Realmatch.Social is intended to be a low-drama, respectful environment for real people. You agree to use the Service in a lawful and respectful manner, and you must not:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse any other user.
- Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or explicit harassment based on gender, sexuality, race, nationality, or other personal characteristics.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Catfish, scam, or attempt to obtain money, items, account access, or personal data through deception.
- Share or request sexually explicit content where it violates our rules, grid rules, or applicable law.
- Post or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes any third-party rights.
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access or interact with the Service unless explicitly allowed in writing.
- Use the reporting or safety tools to harass others, retaliate, or knowingly submit false or bad-faith reports.
- Use Realmatch.Social branding, HUDs, or devices in ways that mislead others into believing you represent our staff or management when you do not.
6. User content and content rules
You may be able to create or submit profile information, images, gallery items, text, and other content (“User Content”). You remain responsible for your User Content.
- You retain any rights you have in your User Content.
- By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, store, reproduce, adapt, and process that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- You represent that you have the necessary rights to share your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any laws.
User Content may include, for example:
- Public gallery images visible on your profile to other members.
- Private gallery images visible only to you or to connections you choose to share them with.
- Profile photos and Second Life / OpenSim texture UUIDs used in your Realmatch.Social profile.
- Text in your “About me” section, preferences, and other profile fields.
We aim to maintain a PG-13 level for public profile images and surfaces that are visible broadly across the Service. Public content must not include:
- Full nudity, explicit sexual poses, or graphic sexual content.
- Sexually suggestive content that clearly violates our published content guidelines.
- Content involving minors or child-like avatars in any sexualized context.
- Violent, extreme, or otherwise disturbing imagery that is inappropriate for a general audience.
We may remove or restrict access to User Content that we believe violates these rules, our policies, or applicable law, at our discretion.
7. Safety, reporting, and disputes between users
Realmatch.Social provides tools to help users report safety concerns, inappropriate behavior, scams, or violations of these Terms.
- We encourage you to use block and report features if you experience harassment, threats, scams, or other concerning behavior.
- We rely on user reports, patterns of behavior, and our own review to determine whether action is needed.
- We do not automatically punish users based on a single unverified complaint; we may consider the history and credibility of reports when making decisions.
- Knowingly submitting false reports or using reporting tools as a form of harassment or retaliation is itself a violation of these Terms and may result in warnings, limits, or removal from the Service.
We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, disputes between users, whether in-world or offline. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others and should exercise judgment and caution when deciding what to share, where to meet, and how to engage.
8. Privacy and communications
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. In summary:
- We do not access or control your private instant messages inside platforms like Second Life or OpenSim; those are governed by the platform’s own systems.
- If the Service offers its own messaging features, we may store those messages to deliver them to recipients and operate the Service, but we do not analyze private one-to-one conversations for advertising or behavioral marketing.
- Messaging features in Realmatch.Social may be limited to active mutual connections to reduce spam and cold-contact harassment.
- If you choose to submit screenshots, chat excerpts, or other material in a report, our team may review that information strictly for safety and moderation purposes.
9. Use of automated tools, AI, and moderation
To help keep Realmatch.Social safe and functional, we may use automated tools and third-party services, including AI-based services, to:
- Detect and filter prohibited content in images (for example, nudity or explicit sexual content).
- Identify spam, bots, and certain abuse patterns.
- Support optional features such as profile suggestions or content helpers that you choose to use (for example, ad copy suggestions or profile prompts).
These tools are used to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to enforce our rules. They are not used to create targeted advertisements based on your private one-to-one conversations within Realmatch.Social.
10. Game Tokens and virtual rewards
We may offer virtual rewards, such as Game Tokens (GTs), badges, levels, or other in-world or account-based points and items.
- Game Tokens are a closed-loop, entertainment-only virtual currency. They cannot be redeemed or converted into Linden Dollars (L$), real money, or any other cashable currency.
- GTs may be earned through engagement (for example, attending events, logging in, completing dates, and using Real Match experiences) and may optionally be purchased using L$ or other payment methods we decide to support.
- GTs may be usable across other experiences and sites operated by Virtual World Search Inc. that choose to support the same closed-loop system, while still remaining non-cashable.
- We may change, adjust, or discontinue reward structures, token balances, or redemption options at any time as part of operating and balancing the Service.
- Game Tokens and other virtual rewards are not legal currency, securities, or investments and generally have no real-world monetary value.
- You do not own Realmatch.Social, Virtual World Search Inc., or any part of the Service by virtue of holding Game Tokens or other virtual rewards.
11. Premium memberships and paid features
We may offer optional paid features, such as premium memberships or special event tickets, which may be purchased using L$ or other supported payment methods. These features may include:
- Enhanced visibility or highlighting in search and swipe features.
- Additional daily reward chances or higher GT reward ranges.
- Access to certain date-night themes, speed dating sessions, or special events.
Details of specific premium features and pricing will be specified at the time of purchase. All such purchases are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law or our written policies.
12. No real-world guarantees
Realmatch.Social is a virtual-world dating and social discovery service. We do not:
- Guarantee that you will find a match, partner, relationship, or friendship.
- Conduct full background checks or verify the real-world identity of users, except for any limited internal verification features we may provide.
- Guarantee the behavior, honesty, or intentions of any user on or off the platform.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether in-world or in real life. Use caution and common sense when deciding to share personal information or meet anyone offline.
13. Third-party services and links
The Service may contain links or connections to third-party websites, platforms, or tools (including Second Life, OpenSim grids, VR platforms, Discord, or others). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, terms, or policies.
Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those providers.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe that:
- You have violated these Terms, our community guidelines, or applicable law;
- Your behavior presents a risk to other users or to the Service; or
- We need to do so to protect our rights, reputation, or operations.
We may also remove or limit accounts that appear inactive, abandoned, or associated with repeated abuse. You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination of access does not entitle you to any compensation, refund, or continued access to data, except as required by law.
15. Service changes and availability
We may change, update, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, including features, design, supported platforms (such as particular grids or regions), or availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, compatible with all viewers, or error-free.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party platforms such as Second Life or OpenSim grids.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Virtual World Search Inc., Realmatch.Social, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;
- Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses;
- Damages resulting from your interactions with other users, whether in-world or offline, including any meetings, relationships, or disputes.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be limited to the amount (if any) you paid directly to us for use of the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or a reasonable equivalent where applicable law does not permit such limitation.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Virtual World Search Inc., Realmatch.Social, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service;
- Your User Content;
- Your violation of these Terms; or
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, via the website or email, when possible).
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Virtual World Search Inc. is organized and primarily operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Your local consumer protection laws may also grant you specific rights that these Terms cannot limit.
